The historic cemetery of Perpignan

Saint Martin cemetery, military cemetery under the Ancien Regime, enlarged after the French revolution, became the first « modern » cemetery in Perpignan. Under the cypresses,  it shelters some famous people tombs including Dugommier and Dagobert pyramid, generals in the Franco-Spanish war(1793-1794), and the grave of the Roussillon writer Albert Saisset,called Oun Tal.

Particularly decorated with sculptures the tomb of the Ducup de Saint Paul family is due to the sculptor Raymond Sudre.
